THE REJECTED VESSEL (Par t 7)
Text: 1 Samuel 15
INTRODUCTION:
In the last part of this series, we learnt that God is not a man that
He should repent and that whatsoever a man soeth the same
shall he reap.
Today, as we continue in our studies, may the Lord Himself teach
and bless us richly through His word in Jesus Name.
1. DEPARTURE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OPENS DOOR FOR EVIL
SPIRIT
Believers are the temple of God where the Holy Spirit dwells. The
moment we defile the temple or refuse to do the will of God, the Holy
Spirit departs. And since the temple is vacant, an evil spirit may find
its way there by God's permission.
I Sam. 16:14, I Cor. 3:16-17, Jud. 9:23, Lk. 22:3, I Kgs. 22:19-23,
Num. 14:42-43, Jos. 7:12, Jud. 16:20, Rom. 1:21-32, Lk. 11:26.
2. PRAISE IS A WEAPON OF DELIVERANCE
The high praise of God is a believer's weapon for worship and
spiritual warfare.
Intensive praise, worship and adoration has a powerful effect in the
spiritual realm to pull down demonic strongholds.
I Sam. 16:16, 23, 2 Kg. 3:15, Ps. 149:5-9, 2 Cor. 10:4-6, 2 Chr.
20:20-25, Ps. 22:3, Heb. 1:14, Acts 16:25-30, Ps. 50:23, Acts 2:47.
CONCLUSION
Has the Holy Spirit departed from you or you have not even received
Him into your life, repent from your sins and ask God for the
restoration of His Spirit in your life.
