Sermon on the beginning of the End

Let's explore the theme of "The End of the Beginning" through the lens of the Bible. This concept can be understood as the conclusion of one phase and the commencement of another, reflecting both the closure of past struggles and the hope of new beginnings.

 The End of the Beginning

Introduction

The idea of "The End of the Beginning" can be found throughout the Scriptures, where significant transitions mark the end of an era and the start of a new chapter in God's plan. Let's delve into key biblical passages that illustrate this powerful theme.

1. The Flood and God's Promise

Genesis 8:20-22:

After the great flood, Noah and his family emerged from the ark, marking the end of an old world and the beginning of a new one. God established a covenant with Noah, symbolized by the rainbow, promising never to destroy the earth with a flood again. This transition signifies renewal and hope, encouraging us to trust in God's promises even after periods of trial. It is of no doubt that this nation passed through a trial as far as 2024 is concern but will never stop us in trusting God promises that we would eat in sufficiency.

2. The Exodus and the Promised Land

*Exodus 14:21-22; Joshua 1:1-3*:

The crossing of the Red Sea marked the end of Israel's bondage in Egypt and the beginning of their journey to the Promised Land. Later, under Joshua's leadership, the crossing of the Jordan River signified the actual entry into the Promised Land, a new phase in the life of the Israelites. These events remind us that God guides us through transitions, leading us from oppression to freedom and from wandering to fulfillment.

I don’t know if somebody will be able to say amen to these

Ø You will move from lack in 2024 to plenty in 2025.

Ø From Begger in 2024 to a giver in 2025.

Ø From sickness in 2024 to sound health in 2025.

Ø From failure and hopelessness in 2024 to success hopeful in 2025 in the name of Jesus.

3. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ

*Matthew 28:1-10*:

The resurrection of Jesus is perhaps the ultimate example of "The End of the Beginning." Jesus' victory over death not only concluded His earthly ministry but also inaugurated a new covenant and the era of grace. His resurrection assures us of eternal life and the power of new beginnings in Christ.

I want us to rise up and pray this prayer for a minute, in a single voice. “Father! let the power of your resurrection work for me in 2025.

4. The New Heaven and New Earth

Revelation 21:1-5:

The book of Revelation describes the ultimate end of the current age and the beginning of a new, eternal reality. The vision of the new heaven and new earth symbolizes the final culmination of God's plan, where pain and suffering are no more, and God dwells with His people forever. This future hope encourages us to live faithfully, anticipating the glorious new beginning that awaits.

For somebody, who will claim this with 3 powerful amen and one settled. “ pains and suffering will never find there ways, into your life in 2025 in the name of Jesus.

Conclusion

The theme of "The End of the Beginning" is deeply woven into the biblical narrative, reminding us that endings are not final but are gateways to new beginnings. As we navigate transitions in our lives most especially in this new year, we can find comfort and hope in God's faithfulness and the promise of renewal and restoration.

Reflecting on these passages encourages us to embrace change, trust in God's plan, and look forward to the new beginnings He has in store for us as we are determined to go beyond the limit.
