THE REJECTED VESSEL (Par t 12)
Text: 1 Samuel 15
INTRODUCTION:
Inthe last part of this series, we learnt that the Lord answers not
the prayer of the sinners and that seeking answers from the evil
spirits is a terrible sin against God.
Today, as we conclude this study of the life of King Saul, may the
Lord Himself teach and bless us mightily through His word in
Jesus name.
1. THE END OF THE UNJUST
Starting a race well is not the most significant aspect of the race but
rather ending it well. The Bible says the end of the just is blessed
but that of the wicked shall rot.
I Sam. 31:1-6, Prov. 10:7, I Sam. 31:9-10, Eccl. 8:10-11, Ps. 112:6,
Num. 23:10, Ps. 116:15, Eccl. 7:8, 2 Pet. 2:20-21, I Pet. 4:17-18.
2. GAINING THE WORLD AND LOSING HEAVEN
It is a terrible thing to lose heaven after gaining everything in this
world. The kingdom of God is more precious than the most treasured
virtues of this world.
I Sam. 9:5-27, 10:1-8, 9-13, 17:24, 11:5-11, 31:4, Jud. 9:53-54,
Matt. 27:5, Rev. 21:8, Matt. 16:25-26, Jn. 12:25-26, Rev. 2:25-26.
