Text: 1 Samuel 15
INTRODUCTION
In the last part of this series, we learnt that the fall of a leader
enslaves his followers and that if God be for us who can be
against us. Today as we continue in our studies, may the Holy
Spirit teach and revive us through His word in Jesus Name.
1. SIN BEGETS SINS
There is a great danger in finding excuse for and to cover up sins as
every attempt to cover up sins always lead to further sins.
I Sam. 18:8-9, 29, Ps. 66:18, I Sam. 15:20, Prov. 28:133, Eccl. 4:4,
Rom. 1:28-29, I Jn. 3:15, Rev. 21:8.
2. NOT BY POWER NOR BY MIGHT
God's work cannot be done in the flesh or by self effort without the
Spirit of God and whatsoever anyone becomes in life is “not by his
own power but by my Spirit saith the Lord”.
I Sam. 18:8-12, 19:24, Zech. 4:6, Matt. 16:17, 2 Tim. 1:9, Jn. 15:5,
Rom. 13:14, Jn. 6:63, 2 Cor. 10:17, I Cor. 10:31.
