THE CHOSEN OF THE LORD (5)
Text: Jonah 1: 5-16
INTRODUCTION:
In the last part of this series, we looked into some spiritual virtues
as “Fruits of the Spirit” and fruit-bearing, the secret of answered
prayers.
Today, as we continue in our study, may the Almighty God bless
us richly through His word in Jesus Name.
1. THE CHOSEN AS CHANNELS OF PROMISE
Believers in Christ (Israel) had been chosen by God as his
channels to carry out the promises of redemption. God’s grace,
salvation, protection, goodness and blessings given to His faithful
people in love are not just to one nation (Israel) but to the whole
human race.

2. THE CHOSEN AS VICTORS AND NOT THE VANQUISHED
God has chosen His People to be winners in the battles of life and
not failures or the defeated. Because Jesus Christ our Lord and
Saviour won, we must also win.
