TEXTUAL: 1Cor.10:38, Ps.19:1-10
First of all and for most, I give glory to Almighty God for His grace over me and I appreciate our Father in the Lord Daddy G. O. for the privilege. Also I appreciate all the ministers and all the members that stay connected for today’s service. I pray God will decorate our lives with His glory in Jesus name. Amen. I want to quickly discuss with us on the above topic that says “Putting Gods Glory on Display”.
INTRODUCTION: What is putting God’s glory on display? Before I explain that, let me quickly explain the meaning of the word “glory”. The word Glory {from the Latin word Gloria, meaning “fame, renown”} it is used to describe the manifestation of the presence of God in human perspective through Abrahamic religion. Now the meaning of the word “God’s glory”, though our father in the Lord Daddy G.O. had explained much about this last two Sundays ago. Even though there is no amount of explanation can rightly describe the glory of God. But just to fill in the gap, permit me to put it this way. The glory of God is the infinite beauty and greatness of God’s manifold perfections. God is in a class by Himself. He has infinite perfections, infinite greatness and infinite worth. This is because He has the Holiness that none has. (Exo.15:11, 1Sam.2:2, Deut.3:24) Now, “putting it on display” simply means to make it manifest, seen and known in every area of our lives and in everything we do. {1Cor.10:31}.
HOW TO PUT THE GLORY OF GOD ON DISPLAY
(i) Step out of your comfort zone. In other words, get out of your pleasurable life of sin. (Pro. 14:34) says “Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people”. None reveals the glory of God while living in sin but only in righteousness that his glory can be made manifested. (Matt.5:16)
(ii) Dare to do the impossible. This is going extra miles to do what others considered to too difficult to do. i.e.
(a) Praise Him the way others can not. {Davidic praise}
(b) Praying the way others can not. { Hanna, Jabez, Hezikaih’s type of prayer}
(c) Live a holy life the way others can not. { Zachariah and Elizabeth still considered righteous and blameless at their old age, despite their life challenges Luk.1:6}.
(d) Sacrificing what others can not. [Solomon’s sacrifice and Abraham’s sacrificing his only son, despite his hopeless situation Gen.9}. Etc.
(iii) Your faith must be at work. To make the glory of God reveal or manifest in your life you need an action faith. In fact, without faith nothing works in Christendom. {Heb.11:6-8, Matt.17:20, 8:26}
(iv) put your trust in Him, especially in the time of trials. Jesus said “if we believe we shall see the glory of God” {Jn.11:40}. {Ps.34:5} “They look unto Him, and were lightered: and their faces were not ashamed”.
(v) Promote unity, love, and peace. {Heb.12:14} “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord”. For the glory of God to be revealed in your life, you need to forgive as many that have offended you and live in peace, love and unity with every one.
CONCLUSION: We must be a carrier of the presence of God, if His glory must be displayed in our life. And for us to be the carrier of His presence, we must strictly live by the above steps. I pray the grace and power to live by them, God will grant unto us and His glory shall be revealed in every area of our life in Jesus name. Amen. Stay safe and stay bless.
Wao. What a wonderful message we heard today. I and my family are really blessed.
