AMEN

BY PASTOR O.O ABEL

During the cross over service I spoke extensively on YES and AMEN, these ushered us into our year of YES and AMEN. To God be the glory our life has never remain the same

For this month of March we are treating the topic that says “AMEN”. I will go deeper on the word Amen alone than I did on YES and AMEN together.

This is a message that will open your inner eyes, after this message you can be rest assured that your miracle will abound while doors are shut against  every power militating against your miracle in Jesus name.

Rise up and pray this prayer: O Lord my God, let Amen establish itself in my life today in the name of Jesus.

AMENRevelation 7:9 -12
Of all words in the world AMEN is the most universal, regardless of the Language. Lovely enough it’s one of Jesus’ names.

ORIGINS OF AMEN.

Amen is derived from the Hebrew āmēn, which means “certainty,” “truth,” and “verily.” In English, the word has two primary pronunciations: ah-men or ay-men. ... Amen is found in both the Old and New Testament.
Amen is spoken to express ratification, agreement. Amen means “it is so” or so it be”

WHAT AMEN IS

1. It means “to ratify” or “confirm”. This can also said to mean acknowledgement as well as affirmation. That is why we associate the word AMEN to prayer. 1st Peter 5:14.
2. Amen is another name for Jesus Christ Rev.3:14, Isaiah 65:16 so when we declare Amen we simply say that we trust in all that God is doing in our life.
3. To say “Amen” is to give our endorsement to the decrees and act of God. We could even translate Amen as YES. By saying Amen we are stating that God’s decree are established and sure. In Numbers 5:22 we can see Amen is used to seal oath.
4. According to 2nd Corinthian 1:20 . Amen means the promises of God are reliable. Jesus is amen to all that God has spoken.

AMEN AND MIRACLES

We have two different words here, having known the meaning of Amen, what is miracle?
Miracle is a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific law of a divine power. For example:
Healing of the bitter water of Marah Exodus 15:23 -25
The fall of Jericho, Joshua 6:6 -25.
Replenishing the oil and meal at Zeraphat , 1st king 17:14 -16
The healing of the water of Jericho by Elisha 2nd King 2:21 -22
Jesus stilled the storm Matthew 8:23 -27 and many more as you know.

CHRISTIANS AND AMEN

Little did I know that people comes to church or respond to prayers with two types of Amen until I met a daughter of Zion in the USA.  This woman is totally souled out for Jesus. She shared a testimony with me,  she said last year January someone jokingly said a prayer for her saying by this time in  2020 you will be with your husband who will love and care for you, she said she busted into laughter making jest of the prayer, that how can such prayer be relevant after she had waited fasting and praying for husband for 5years not even ordinary boyfriend came around talk less of husband and that she has accepted it as her fate to live single without a man for the rest of her life.
But the person praying jokingly also jokingly asked her to say Amen to that prayer and she said she could remember vividly that she said the second type of Amen. Meaning amen that carries no faith. The amen sounds like this “amennnoooonnnn”. In my language this is said as “amin oo nnnn” meaning forget about such miracle. To God be the glory she is now with her loving husband. Mercy must have spoken for her.

TWO CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE IN THE CHURCH

1. The true worshipers ,who worship in spirit and in holiness they say AMEN with faith and miracle follows
2. The church goer, they worship in flesh, come to church to show off their material things
They can come to trap opposite sex or even coming only for Materia gains they say the empty amen that carries no faith.

AMEN AND MIRACLES GOES TOGETHER

Amen and miracle goes together that is why i said
SOME MISSED THE MIRACLE
SOME GOT THE MIRACLE
SOME GOT THE MIRACLE AND APPROPRIATE IT
SOME GOT THE MIRACLE MISAPPROPRIATE IT
ITS ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR AMEN
IS YOUR AMEN ACCOMPANIED BY FAITH?
IF YES, YET NO MIRACLE
CHECK YOUR WORK
YOUR AMEN DOES MIRACLE BY YOUR FAITH
THROUGH YOUR WORK.
SAY AMEN IN FAITH AND LAY YOUR HAND ON SOMETHING
FOR THE MIRACLE TO MANIFEST.
God bless you as you say AMEN!

God's Promises

By Pastor O.O Abel

GOD’S PROMISES

These are God’s declaration of His intent.Circumstances beyond our control may prevent us from keeping our promises; but the sovereign Lord of the universe has never failed to fulfill His word.

OUR MISUNDERSTANDINGS

Sometimes we become disappointed in God because we think He’s failed to keep His word. But the problem is our understanding and our attitude, not His faithfulness.

AREAS OF PROMISES BY GOD

The promises of God covers a very wide range, in fact I call it countless but for the purpose of this lesson let me mention but few.
We can enjoy the promises of God in the following areas:
Health, finances, welfare, marriage, academic, business, job, ministry etc.

TYPES OF PROMISES

we have conditional and unconditional promises, the conditional promises are those that will require we fulfill or meet some certain conditions before such promise could be fulfilled in our life, a good example is in Deuteronomy 28: 1 “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”

The above quoted scripture is the condition that every children of God must meet before they can have access to the blessings in Deuteronomy 28:2- 13 in this case, a Christian can keep reciting the scripture several times in a day, or your spiritual leader pronouncing and declaring these God’s promises upon you every Sunday, if you fail to hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which is the condition ,then none of the promises will be fulfilled .

On the other hand, unconditional promise are fulfilled with nothing required from us. A good example of this is in Genesis 8:21 “And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done.”

GOD AND THE REVERSED PROMISES

It is generally known that God does not fail in His promises Numbers 23:19. “God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

We all need to understand the fact that God will not fail in His promises but I want to make it clear to us that man has the ability to reverse God’s promises upon himself and his or her family.  Meaning that after or before God keeps his promise upon our life we can either maintain it or reverse it we have a good example in the book of 1 Samuel 2:30 “Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me forever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.”

This is God making a serious declaration but unfortunately He has come to declare to us that Eli and his family most especially his children have decided to reverse or foil the promise of God over the family you can see the evil act of Eli’s family in 1 Samuel 2:22 “Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.”

The major point here is that God will never fail in His promises but the moment a man decided to reverse God’s promise through his or her sinful act without feeling remorse towards repentance , then God will not hesitate to declare to the world the you have succeeded in reversing his promise for your life . I pray this will not be your portion in Jesus name.

PROMISES OF GOD AND TIMING

Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

God has time for everything even for the fulfillment of His promise   Deuteronomy 28:12 “The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

Romans 4:16 “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,”
If you feel His promises are been delayed in fulfillment upon your life check yourself to be sure you have played your part correctly peradventure the promise is a conditional one, be patient. Abraham had promises of God upon him fulfilled you also will have yours fulfilled
